Eyecessorize Releases Spring/Summer 2018 Trend Kit

The Vision Council’s Eyecessorize campaign—which promotes the fashion and lifestyle aspects of eyewear and sunwear—is pleased to announce the release of its spring/summer 2018 trend kit.

The Vision Council distributed the kit this week to approximately 350 fashion, lifestyle, health and news outlets. A sampling of outreach includes: Allure, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, GQ, Marie Claire, Men’s Journal, Real Simple, Woman’s Day, HuffingtonPost.com, Refinery29.com and WhoWhatWear.com, among many others.

The contents of the kit focus on trends interpreted from styles seen on fashion runways, and spotlights product from 80 members of The Vision Council’s Eyewear & Accessories (E&A) and Sunglass & Reader (SRD) Division members, plus a selection of non-member Vision Expo exhibitors. Curated by The Vision Council’s Eyecessorize team, the trends are as follows: To the Future, featuring modern frames donning futuristic vibes; Loud + Lush, featuring unabashed glasses and shades with influence from all walks of life; Proverbial Favorites, featuring quintessential go-to styles; and Flashbacks, featuring vintage-esque looks reminiscent of yesteryear.

Furthermore, the digital, interactive kit allows media to download hi-res imagery and access reputable trend descriptions, while encouraging users to reach out for more eye health information surrounding UV eye protection, digital eye strain, reading glasses and annual eye exams, as well as to arrange an interview with our spokespeople.

While The Vision Council actively pitches and responds to consumer media requests throughout the year, it also participates in web-based outreach by highlighting products from members on Eyecessorize.com, which houses the Eyecessorize blog, and various social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

The Vision Council would like to thank those who participated in this season’s kit and for their continued support of the campaign as a whole. To view a list of participating members, click here. Please keep me informed about new product releases, celebrity sightings and more so your company can continue to take advantage of all Eyecessorize has to offer.

For members who did not participate in the kit or have not been actively partaking in the campaign, please reach out to learn about how to make the most out of your membership at The Vision Council.

In turn, I will continue to send my PR contacts from all E&A and SRD members updates regarding media requests, future events and outreach opportunities as they become available. But please don’t hesitate to contact me, in the meantime, if you have any questions about the kit or the Eyecessorize campaign in general.
