Chairman, Mike Hundert
Mike Hundert is the current Chairman of The Vision Council, as well as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer of De Rigo Rem, part of the world's fourth largest provider of eyewear, marketing brand name frames and sunglasses, including Chopard, dunhill, Lanvin, Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera, Police, Converse, Lucky Brand, Jones New York, John Varvatos and Jonathan Adler. Hundert ran his family business, Rem Eyewear, for 35 years before the company was sold to the De Rigo family in June, 2016, creating the largest family-owned distributor of eyewear. A founding board member and former Vice Chairman of The Vision Council, Hundert has served in many capacities, including Chairman of the Eyewear and Accessories Division, The Executive Summit Program Committee, and the Vision Expo Show Committee.
Hundert holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado. He enjoyed a career as a news and sports reporter, as well as being the Director of the World Pro Skiing Tour before joining the family business. Maintaining a role in the ski world, Hundert is currently Chairman of the Bob Beattie Ski Foundation and a board member of the International Skiing History Association. He resides in Snowmass Village, Colorado with his wife Carol.
